Personal Accident Insurance
Personal Accident Insurance is designed to pay a financial benefit following an injury. The principle is that if you are injured and unable to work then a Personal Accident Insurance policy will continue to give you a weekly income or pay you a lump sum if the injury is permanent or fatal. Some polices will also give separate benefits for broken bones, dental treatment, physio treatment, partial incapacity, illness and other misfortunes.

Personal Accident Insurance – Amateur Sport / Dance
Personal Accident insurance is designed to pay out if a player or club member is injured and unable to work. This takes away the financial worries that could be associated with a potential injury. Normally the policy will pay a weekly benefit if there is a temporary injury or pay a lump sum in the event of a permanent injury or death. In addition we can provide additional covers such as dental benefits, physiotherapy costs, MRI scan costs, broken bone benefits, illness and other requirements.
Without personal accident insurance an injured player could be left unable to meet their day to day financial commitments if they are unable to work.
Policies can be purchased by individuals or by teams, leagues, associations or governing bodies and can cover just players or can also include club officials and non playing members.

Personal accident insurance can be crucial if your injury leaves you unable to work, without an income and facing hardship or financial commitments. Personal accident insurance can be purchased by individuals or by organisations on behalf of their employees or members. Purchasing cover in bulk, known as a group policy, can significantly reduce the cost of cover. If you are an amateur club then the cover offers a great benefit to members and reassurance that they will get some income if injured. If you are a professional organisation then you can be reassured that if an employee is injured you will receive money to pay their sick pay or hire a temp.
Cover can be operative during specific times such as only whilst involved in club activities or it can be operative 24 hours a day. Levels of cover can be adjusted to suit your requirements and achieve a premium that is acceptable; although you would be surprised at how cheap cover can be, especially when bought in bulk.
