Celebrating International Dance Day 29th April 2023
It’s time to celebrate dance in all its glorious forms, as it is International Dance Day on 29th April 2023. We are passionate about insuring dance clubs, associations, teachers and instructors; in fact, we have over 60 years of experience in the sports, dance and leisure insurance industry.
Do you know how International Dance Day was founded? The global celebration of dance was created by the Dance Committee of the International Theatre Institute (ITI), the main partner for the performing arts of UNESCO. It’s the anniversary of the birth of Jean-Georges Noverre (1727 – 1810), who is widely considered to be the “father” or creator of modern ballet. The aim of International Dance Day, which was created in 1982, is to encourage participation and education in dance through events and festivals held worldwide.
The Mann Broadbent Team are dedicated to supporting the dance industry with our insurance policies that ensure that nothing holds you back from the performance of your life. But why do dance clubs, guilds, associations and schools need insurance?
- Specialist dance activity insurance provides protection for many risks facing committees, organisers, instructors and business owners.
- Every club and association is different, so their insurance needs are different too.
- Public liability, employer’s liability, directors and officers insurance, and buildings and contents insurance are all areas of insurance that could be considered to provide cover for your dance club.
We know that insurance can be very confusing and perhaps gets put to the bottom of your to-do list when you’re running a dance school, but we can help guide you every step of the way to ensure you are producing showstopping performances for many years to come.
